The health, fitness and beauty rules Roxy Jacenko swears by

To look at Roxy Jacenko’s life from the outside, it looks like she has it made.

With multiple businesses and a rumoured $13 million-dollar turnover to her name, it’s hardly a surprise that time is in short supply for the Sydney-based leading PR.

However, in spite of her burgeoning diary, there are a few simple health, fitness and beauty rules the 37-year-old swears by.

From twice weekly tans to cryotherapy sessions, and a carefully-planned week of workouts, here Roxy speaks with FEMAIL about what makes her world run like clockwork.

According to Roxy – who heads up both Sweaty Betty and The Ministry of Talent PR firms – the most important thing for her to feel and function her best is eating well.

‘I went through a period last year where I starved myself,’ she told Daily Mail Australia.

‘Not only does it make you miserable, but it means you can’t work or even think properly.’

Roxy admitted that having developed a good healthy diet has been instrumental in making her feel good.

‘I’ve learned that a healthy diet with treats is not only important, but makes for a sane person,’ she said.

‘Nowadays, while I monitor what I eat, I also eat by working with a specialised company and balanced eating plan from Eat Fit Food – which means I can allow myself a dessert sometimes.’

Eat Fit Food provide nutritious, wholefood meal plans which are delivered to people’s doors.

When it comes to exercise, the 37-year-old mother-of-two prefers to mix it up.

As well as doing the occasional Pilates class, Roxy will also train with celebrity personal trainer, Ben Lucas, twice a week at the Flow Athletic studio in Sydney’s Paddington.

‘In addition, Oli [her husband] and I walk Bondi beach each weekend with the kids,’ she explained.

Roxy said that on the whole, her training is all about ‘resistance work, and includes a mix of weights, TRX, squats, stairs and core exercises’:

‘Today, I’m focused on toning, rather than looking like a stick figure. I wanted that for a time, but I look back now and see how silly I ended up looking,’ she explained.

Speaking about her beauty secrets, Roxy admitted she's seen a 'huge improvement' in her skin since she's started using Enjo's Seamless make up remover discs (pictured)

Speaking about her beauty secrets, Roxy admitted she’s seen a ‘huge improvement’ in her skin since she’s started using Enjo’s Seamless make up remover discs, which only require water to remove her make up.

‘I also spritz L’Occataine’s Immortelle Precious Mist on my skin and finish with a generous layer of a new moisturiser VE+ from DU’IT,’ she said – adding that once a week, she’ll use a ‘deep hydrating face mask from Dr Barbara Strum’, which helps with ‘my rosacea’.

‘Dr Natasha Cook’s concentrated spot destroyer is a miracle if you have a spot that appears, too,’ Roxy added.

‘To ensure, I’m nicely tanned year round I’ll also use fake tan twice a week.’

The PR recently launched her own Roxy Tan by Skinny Tan product, which she said helps to make her feel as though she looks both ‘healthier and slimmer’.

While Roxy does take one supplement each day, she also said she loves to start her mornings with a 'hot water and lemon followed by a green juice'

‘I use a supplement in tablet form called “Glow Getter” from Beauty Boosters,’ she said.

‘I’ve been using it for about six months and can really see a difference to my skin – considering I don’t sleep much and spend my days in front of a computer.’

Finally, Roxy said each day she will start the morning with a ‘hot water and lemon followed by a green juice’.

‘Pasta is my weakness,’ she added. ‘Prawn ravioli from Olio in Kensington Street, Chippendale is a must.’
