In Scotland allow us to draw your attention to the excellent Cairn café in Kilmacolm, just west of Glasgow, a very popular neighborhood restaurant that’s beginning to get national recognition. MailOnline Travel stopped by during a Scottish road trip this year and we were blown away.
Owner David Armour said: ‘Our aim was always to create that “Daily Spot”, where the coffee, the service, the flavors were always on point. One of our longest-serving menu items is a perfect example of this. Affectionately known in-house as “The Black Pudding Stack”, we take a crispy morning roll, smother its top and bottom with our house-made chorizo jam, and layer in North Ayrshire Black Pudding topped with a fried egg. It’s a flavor bomb – and the troops love it!’ Visit cairn-kilma.com. Click-and-collect only.
