The Loop’s Liv Phyland almost DROWNS in underwater helicopter stunt

The Loop’s Liv Phyland feared for her life during an underwater stunt gone wrong when she was a guest star on The Living Room.

Shown on Friday night’s episode, the bubbly blonde participated in an elaborate exercise demonstrating how to escape a helicopter submerged under water.

Initially anxious about the task, the 27-year-old truly panicked when she became trapped in the test vessel during the supervised drill.

Watching on in horror was show host Dr Chris Brown, who witnessed the TV presenter panic when she couldn’t free herself from her seat belt to escape.

With the makeshift helicopter upside down in the water, safety divers had to step in to free her from the dangerous situation.

‘It was actually petrifying,’ she said when she made it to the surface.

Struggling to catch her breath, she continued:  ‘My harness had come off and I was trying to get to the window but it was holding me back.

She added: ‘I just didn’t know what to do.’

Shot in a pool at the ACE Huet training facility in Sydney, which educates people on how to survive a helicopter crash into water, the shaking media personality was eventually coaxed back into the rig for another attempt.

This time, the results were far less terrifying as Liv makes it out of the vessel by herself.

Delighted with herself, she cheerfully declared to the safety team: ‘You didn’t have to save me that time.’
