The MAFS stars that are still friends months after filming ended – and the ones that aren’t

Married At First Sight’s conflict-filled tenth season ended in April.

The relationship experiment’s results were decidedly mixed, with only Tahnee Cook and Ollie Skelton, as well as Melinda Willis and Layton Mills still together after the show.

But while only two couples remained once the dust settled, there were many more friends made along the way.

However even some of those friendships didn’t go the distance, with some pals who met on the reality TV megahit subsequently falling out in spectacular fashion.

Here are some of the strongest friendships that formed on MAFS – and those that imploded.

Although Janelle, 28, failed to find love with husband Adam Seed, she still managed to form tight friendships with several of her fellow brides.

The TiKTok star is particularly close to Evelyn Ellis, 27, with the two often spotted hanging out in Sydney and they recently attended Australian Fashion Week together.

She is also close to Tahnee Cook and her on-screen TV groom Ollie Skelton. The pair were recently spotted attending a musical festival in Perth alongside Jesse Burford.

The 30-year-old marriage celebrant became close friends with Janelle after the shocking scandal which saw their partners Claire and Adam cheating with each other.

It seems the ordeal strengthened Jesse and Janelle’s friendship and at one point rumours circulated they were dating.

Although they have both shot down romance rumours they have admitted to sharing a kiss.

Speaking to Daily Mail Australia, Jesse laughed of recent reports that the pair were dating and confirmed, 'we are just friends'. Pictured at Falls Festival on January 7

Speaking to Daily Mail Australia, Jesse laughed off recent reports that the pair were dating and confirmed, ‘we are just friends’.

‘The strongest connection I’ve made with anyone in the cast is definitely Janelle,’ he added.

‘We went through the same thing [being cheated on] and we are both from the same city,’ he added.

Jesse said he felt friendless and ‘isolated’ while filming the show, but things had turned around since production wrapped in December.

‘I didn’t have a best friend,’ he confessed.

‘I felt completely isolated… Like, Ollie and Rupert [Bugden] were so tight. I was so envious of their friendship.’

He said the only person he felt any connection with in the experiment was Janelle, followed by Cameron Woods, Harrison Boon and Duncan James

‘I felt like Claire [his partner] very much enjoyed having her own space and me not being in it. I felt like I didn’t have a best friend on MAFS.

‘My best friend, who was supposed to be my wife, kissed another dude and then didn’t honour my request to leave, and made me freaking stay and have to endure a redemption arc for her.’

Lyndall Grace and Bronte Schofield

Beauties Lyndall, 27, and Bronte, 28, became best friends during their stint on the show and remain so several months later.

Bronte recently shared a gallery to Instagram of heart-warming photos showing the pair having fun together and captioned it with some precious words.

‘Besties at first sight. Swipe to see the real MAFS love story, the adventures of Bronte & Lyndall. Walked in hoping to find my one love, walked out with a new home slice.’

The pair have even joked that despite failing to find love with their husbands Cam and Harrison they found a great friend in each other.

Hugo Armstrong

Armstrong was reportedly kicked out of the Boys’ group chat after he was caught leaking things to the girls and couldn’t be trusted.

‘They saw his true colours. They’re very loyal to Tayla and realised what a d**k Hugo was, they pretty much want little to nothing to do with him.’

Alyssa Barmonde

Alyssa was dubbed one of the ‘most hated brides’ from the show this year, but she’s now been inundated with support from her castmates.

In a series of Instagram posts, which Alyssa reposted to her own page, her co-stars offered an outpouring of love for the controversial contestant and claimed that she was edited badly.

Fellow bride Lyndall Grace said in an Instagram Q&A that everyone adored Alyssa, adding, ‘I probably couldn’t name one person that didn’t’.

Lyndall’s on-screen husband Cam Woods shared a video of Alyssa dancing during a night out, writing: ‘She might have a child but she is awesome!’

Rupert Budgen joined in, saying in an Instagram post that Alyssa was ‘massively blindsided’ by how she was portrayed on the show.

Tahnee Cook wrote during an Instagram Q&A: ‘She is that friend that will always be there for you no matter what,’ adding that Alyssa was ‘one of the most beautiful people’ she’s ever met.

Melinda Willis chimed in: ‘I’m getting on this bandwagon too because I feel like every single [cast member] has exactly the same thing to say about Alyssa’.

Bronte Schofield likewise shared a supportive post, writing: ‘The cast and myself have sat back and watched the public tear you down over an edit that you had no control over.

‘It breaks my heart that people have jumped on the bandwagon to judge a woman who put her heart on the line to find love in the most catastrophic and controversial way despite everything you have going in your everyday life you never let it stop you from being the big-hearted, beautiful woman that you are.’

Alyssa replied in her own post, clearly moved by all the support, writing: ‘Real tears this morning. Happy ones this time.

‘Thank you to all my cast peeps speaking out. It means so so much you have no idea. I feel so validated.’
