The series launched with the Disney Plus streaming service on November 12, and it was an instant hit with fans.

Pedro Pascal plays the title character, a bounty hunter from the planet of Mandalore, known as The Mandalorian.

In the first episode, he was tasked by a character only known as The Client (Werner Herzog) to bring back an item, which was learned at the end of the finale to be a character lovingly now known as Baby Yoda.

The Mandalorian ultimately turned over Baby Yoda to The Client, but he quickly rescued him and spent the remainder of the season on the run, keeping the child safe.

The finale brought a number of memorable moments, including an opening scene featuring two Stormtroopers on speeders, played by Jason Sudeikis and Adam Pally.

Fans also finally got to see The Mandalorian (Pedro Pascal) unmasked, as he was patched up by the re-programmed droid IG-11, voiced by Taika Waititi, who also directed the finale.
