A furious driver was caught on camera as he threatened to ‘smash a woman’s face in’ in a frightening outburst in Hull which could rival Ronnie Pickering’s infamous rant in the same city.
Georgina Eaglesfield, who has just moved to east Hull to start work at a secondary school, was left horrified after being subjected to threats by a fellow driver on Friday, May 4.
The young teacher pulled out her phone as the man aggressively wagged his finger in her face and swore at her.
The x-rated row is a reminder of Ronnie Pickering’s outburst in the same city which was watched more than six million times after he screamed at a moped rider ‘I’m Ronnie Pickering’.
A man who identified himself as ‘Craig Murray’ was filmed shouting at a young teacher in Hull
Just like Ronnie, the man in the clip proudly names himself as ‘Craig Myers’.
Georgina, 23, was waiting to turn left onto Holwell Road after visiting Bransholme’s North Point Shopping Centre when the driver in question drove past and apparently shook his head at her.
Miss Eaglesfield says she responded by throwing her arms up in the air to question his gesture.
But when she then turned into the same road as the driver he stopped and got out of his car to confront her.
The driver, wearing a red vest and tracksuit bottoms abandoned his own car to row with Miss Eaglesfield.
In the 20 second recording the man says Georgina ‘f***** pulled out without seeing’ as he walks around her car and leans into the camera.
Georgina said: ‘He left his car in the middle of the road and because my window was down he came round to me saying I had stuck my fingers up at him.
Georgina moved to Hull to take a job at a school but was left ‘terrified’ after a road rage incident with a man named ‘Craig’
‘He then threatened to knock me out and that’s when I thought I would start recording.
‘He was holding up traffic and he just kept going on. He started threatening me and the worst thing he said was that he was going to smash my face in.
‘He had his fists in my face and was getting right in my face.’
The driver eventually returned to his car after the X-rated rant at Miss Eaglesfield who published the footage on Facebook and contacted police.
Miss Eaglesfield, who recently moved to the city from Derby, said she was left terrified by the incident and wants the driver to know just how much his threats and remarks scared her.
She said: ‘I thought it was really scary because I am quite small – I’m only 5ft tall.
‘The police said ‘do you think he would have done it?’ and I just don’t know but I wanted to record it just to be sure and it could have been just words because a lot of people were there.
The angry driver leaned into the camera being held by Georgina Eaglesfield in east Hull after a road rage incident turned into a row in the street
The man threatened to knock the teacher out, she claims. Miss Eaglesfield had recently moved to Hull to take a teaching job
‘It hasn’t put me off Hull because I think it could happened anywhere. He could have just been having the worst day but what surprised me was that he came out of his car to the point where I couldn’t move.
‘If I have a problem with someone I always look at other ways of dealing with it. I am quite optimistic and I don’t shout or get angry as you can see in the video.
‘I don’t think he should treat people the way he treated me.. It’s not acceptable to verbally threaten people pretty much in a shopping centre.’
