The Morning Show’s Larry Emdur and his wife Sylvie offload holiday home in Kangaroo Valley for discounted price of $2.78m after struggling to sell
The Morning Show’s Larry Emdur and his wife, Sylvie, have sold their Kangaroo Valley home.
The pair shifted the stylish new container home located in the idyllic New South Wales town for $2.78 million.
The property was listed for sale for $3.5million in February last year but failed to attract a buyer.
Larry and his wife paid $2.15million for the home back in 2020 and had been renting it out for between $1000 to $1200 a night as a short stay holiday destination.
The couple often spent their weekends in the luxurious four-bedroom Sky Ridge property, which has been nicknamed the ‘Black Barn’ due its to industrial feel, reported Realestate.com.au.

The off-the-grid abode, designed by architect Alexander Michael in 2018, blends steel, glass and polished concrete floors with eco-friendly touches, such as solar panels and rainwater harvesting.
The container also features two statement fireplaces in its open-plan living room.
Larry, Sylvie, and their real estate agent son, Jye Emdur, added a sunrise yoga deck and a swimming pool at a later date.
It was the second holiday home that Larry has purchased. In February 2020, he paid $1.1million for a property in Berowra Waters, in Sydney’s north.

The 58-year-old bought the pad as a getaway from his home in upscale Bondi Beach.
‘The magical bay is much quieter than Bondi,’ Larry told The Daily Telegraph at the time.
That same year, the Channel Seven star and his wife quietly put their two Bondi investment properties on the market.
The first property is a one-bedroom apartment located on Brighton Boulevard.

The couple purchased the flat for $318,000 in 2001, and rented it out for $600 per week.
The second home is a larger two-bedroom apartment that the Emdurs bought for $400,000 that same year.
The apartment is located on Glenn Street and was renting for $850 per week.
Larry decided to list the properties on the back of the recent success of his real estate agent son, Jye, a property partner at The Agency, in the suburb.
