Whether it’s storage hacks, handbag displays or walk-in inspiration, Australians are searching for home and wardrobe organisation trends online more than ever before.  

In fact, Australian homeowners have been using Pinterest to discover the latest and greatest ‘wardrobe ideas’, with a 295 per cent increase in Pins saved over the past 12 months. 

Whether they are planning a new build or renovation, or just creating a visual wish list for their ‘one day’ home, they are lusting over wardrobes that reflect a range of styles – from monochromatic to bohemian maximalism.

Shoe wall hacks, boho maximalism, handbag displays and sublime storage ideas have all been a hit among Australian homeowners over the past few months. 

One of the most popular boho looks was by Rebecca Williams, an West Australian stylist and the owner of Naughty Shorts. 

In an interview with Apartment Therapy, Ms Williams showed off her quirky open wardrobe which was full of organised vintage clothing, shoes and suitcases that inject life into the gypsy themed space.

‘I think they [guests] enjoy the visual feast of color and interesting objects. There is a whole lot of positive energy inside this little shack,’ she said. 

A handbag display from Fit Fab Fun Mom has also been widely shared, with the stylish blogger sharing a snap the space she put together in the spacious loft in her single-story home. 

‘I finally decided to convert the loft to my shoe closet/office this year,’ she said. 

Beautiful House also suggested displaying them in a cabinet. 

‘I love the idea of using a dresser or glass cabinet in your bedroom to store your favourite handbags and accessories. This can make a lovely display, and you can see those special pieces you have acquired,’ she wrote.

Minimalism is one of the top trending styles, with saves for ‘minimalist wardrobes’ rising by 210 per cent over the past 12 months.

Among the monochromatic styles and the minimal spaces were also a number of pins showcasing children’s wardrobes. 

One of the most popular ones was by Sarah of The Junior, with the mother-of-two sharing her stunning monochrome children’s wardrobe.

Celebrity-style glamour, swoonworthy designs and spaces fit for a princess have flooded the platform with homeowners desiring a fairytale wardrobe of their own. 

Some are so spectacular that they are more like entire rooms complete with seating, glamorous wallpaper and crystal chandeliers.
