PornHub has released its year in review, revealing the most searched for terms and categories in each country and globally.
For the second year running, lesbian videos were the number one searched for term on website in Australia.
The same search also proved the most popular search in Britain, North America and much of Central and South America.

Lesbian was the most popular category for women, while men tended to search more for ‘Japanese’.
Meanwhile, both sexes searched for ‘threesome’ videos at an equal rate.
Overall, Australia saw a five per cent decrease in traffic on the site, ranking ninth in the world for visits to PornHub.
Three major Australian cities also ranked in PornHub’s Top 20 Cities list, Sydney (seven), Melbourne (eight) and Brisbane (19).
Of all the visits to PornHub from Australia, 73 per cent are now done on a smart phone.

The category with the greatest increase in traffic, 108 per cent, was ‘amateur’.
PornHub said in its yearly breakdown the growth in the popularity of ‘Japanese’ porn was due to a large traffic increase from the country.
Hentai took out the second spot on the list while the 2018 winner, lesbian, dropped down to third position globally.
Hentai proved most popular in Russia while Japanese was found to be the most popular category in Central and Eastern Asian countries.
Sexual Wellness Centre Dr. Laurie Betito said ‘amateur porn’ had seen a huge increase on the back of more couples enjoying the site together.
‘Couples are finding a space in the porn world where they can ‘expose’ their sexuality to the world. These are likely people who get a thrill from this type of exhibitionism and who are proud to show off their intimate coupling,’ she said.

The list of the ten most popular searches seemed to follow yearly trends according to a PornHub analytics statement, including a rise in POV thanks to virtual relaity
On a whole, female interaction on the site also increased by 32 per cent with the highest concentration of women coming from the Philippines and Brazil.
‘This statistic clearly demonstrates that porn is not just for men! Women are increasingly viewing porn,’ Dr Betito said.
‘This is good news, as it indicates that women are taking charge of their sexuality, discovering their bodies and identifying what they like.’
The demographic most using PornHub, at 36 per cent, is the 25 to 34 age group with the next closest being the 18 to 24-year-old age group.
In total PornHub had 42 billion visits in 2019 which equated to 115 million visits per day.
As of December 2019 the site added 169 years of content for the calendar year.
If someone in the 1850s started watching videos uploaded in 2019 they would still be watching them today.
