The one thing missing from the new-look Today show: Fans go into meltdown over this tiny detail… but can YOU spot it?

The new-look Today show debuted on Monday, with Deborah Knight replacing Karl Stefanovic as co-host of the program.

And while changes have been made to the show’s lineup, with the likes of Karl and Sylvia Jeffreys getting the boot, another small change has also been made.

But can YOU spot what it is?

It seems producers decided to remove the weather update which used to appear at the bottom of the screen.

Some viewers noticed this week and took to social media to complain.

‘New line up good but not happy with the capital and major city weather… please reinstate,’ one viewer tweeted.

The new-look Today meanwhile debuted on Monday, after the ‘bloodbath’ at Nine.

However it seems the debut didn’t go as well as Nine was hoping, with it being smashed in the ratings by rival Sunrise.

However, despite the fact that Today delivered its lowest audience in 10 years, the network’s former news and current affairs boss says it would be ‘idiotic’ to write off the struggling program just yet.

As reported by The Australian on Wednesday, Peter Meakin said: ‘It’s very early days, and anyone trying to call the race on the first furlong is an idiot.’

He added: ‘I don’t think Sunrise will break open the champagne yet. Not everything’s a triumph right out of the box. It’s one morning.’

Meakin, who is now Channel 10’s head of news and current affairs, blamed the temporary relocation of Today to ‘remote’ Melbourne Park – the site of the Australian Open – for the poor viewer response.

He also said the unprecedented all-female line up consisting of Georgie Gardner, 48, and Deborah Knight, 46, could work ‘just fine.’
