‘You look fit!’ The Project’s Peter Helliar left blushing after co-host Carrie Bickmore compliments his incredible weight loss

The Project’s Peter Helliar was left blushing on Monday night after co-host Carrie Bickmore praised his incredible weight loss.

The 44-year-old had just presented a segment on tailoring in the USA when Carrie, 39, pointed out the recent change in the comedian’s appearance.

‘Someone is needing to add holes to their belt,’ she said, leaving Peter flustered over the compliment.

‘You should feel proud!’ she added, noticing his bashful reaction.

Peter replied: ‘But I had a fair bit to work on. ‘You’ve got more time [in isolation] and I have chosen to do a bit more exercise.’

‘You look amazing, and fit, Pete,’ Carrie answered, leading Peter to joke: ‘This is not supposed to be a flirt fest. Please!’ before he begged for the subject to be changed.

Peter recently told Sydney Morning Herald’s Good Weekend magazine that he’s ‘lighter’ than he’s been in ages and is finally under his 100kg goal.

‘I’m under 100 kilos for the first time in years,’ he told the publication.

The comedian went onto to reveal the simple lifestyle changes he’s made that have led to his amazing results.

‘I made a choice at the end of last year to get into shape and I’m not drinking during the week and I’m exercising every day,’ he told the publication.

The father-of-three admitted he’s been struggling with extra kilos since he was a child.

‘I was always the kid wearing T-shirts while swimming,’ the How To Stay Married star said.

But breaking under the 100kg mark ‘felt really good’ and was spurring him on to continue his health journey.
