Former Today Show hosts Lisa Wilkinson, 59, and Karl Stefanovic, 44, reportedly had a terse confrontation at the TV Week Logie Awards on the Gold Coast last month.
And on Sunday night, The Project host finally broke her silence on what happened when they came face-to-face on the red carpet.
Speaking to co-host Hamish MacDonald, Lisa was surprisingly candid when recounting the exchange with her former Channel Nine breakfast TV anchor.

Turning his attention to Lisa, co-host Hamish asked the burning question: ‘So, what did you say to Karl on the red carpet?’
Lisa said in a matter of fact way: ‘I told him to go [BEEP] himself.’
However, it was soon made clear the veteran broadcaster was joking in the segment, as she was poking fun at their reported feud.
At the Logies on June 30, the Network Ten star came face to face with a number of her old colleagues at the Today Show, including Karl, Sylvia Jeffreys and Richard ‘Dickie’ Wilkins.

Last week, it was reported Lisa and Karl acted like complete strangers on the red carpet, according to New Idea magazine.
‘The pair didn’t spend any time chatting to each other on the red carpet,’ a magazine insider said last Monday.
The source added that Lisa seemed like she was trying to avoid Karl altogether, despite their relatively close proximity on the ruby pile.
Despite this, Lisa was seen exchanging pleasantries with former Nine colleague and Karl’s sister-in-law Sylvia Jeffreys, who was axed from Today in 2018.

Despite this, Lisa was seen exchanging pleasantries with former Nine colleague and Karl’s sister-in-law Sylvia Jeffreys, who was axed from Today in 2018.
The two women put on a tactile display as they chatted outside The Star on the Gold Coast, with Sylvia even placing her hand affectionately on Lisa’s arm.
Despite at first having a look of surprise to see Sylvia, Lisa greeted the blonde beauty like an old friend, even sharing an animated laugh together on the carpet.

The pair looked genuinely pleased to see each other as they shared a laugh while surrounded by other media stars.
Meanwhile, Karl was pictured getting chummy with Richard ‘Dickie’ Wilkins, who was axed from Today in December 2018 alongside Karl and Sylvia.
Lisa and Karl have done little to dispel rumours that they’ve been locked in a feud over the past two years.

And it appears there’s no love lost between the pair, with Lisa recently taking a not-so-subtle dig at Karl in an interview with The Herald Sun.
Lisa said it was difficult working with ‘big egos’ and applauded the ‘integrity’ and high ‘caliber’ of her new colleagues at Channel 10.
‘I’m not great around big egos, that doesn’t bring out the best in me,’ she remarked.

Lisa left Channel Nine’s Today show back in October 2017, amid a reported gender pay gap dispute.
A statement from the Nine Network said it was ‘unable to meet her expectations’ after she reportedly demanded equal pay with co-host Karl Stefanovic.
In January the following year, Lisa joined rival network Ten’s The Project for a rumoured multi-million dollar pay packet.
Meanwhile, Karl was unceremoniously booted from Today in December 2018, after his personal life was blamed for falling ratings.
