The Project’s Peter Helliar gets roasted about his Logie snub

He has campaigned tirelessly for a Gold Logie nomination.

And on Monday night, The Project’s Peter Helliar was mocked for being snubbed at this year’s nominations by his Have You Been Paying Attention co-stars.

Host Tom Gleisner wasted no time in poking fun at the funnyman, introducing him as: ‘Host of The Project, author and Logie nominee… sometimes, Peter Helliar.’

‘Obviously it didn’t work, did it?!’ The Project’s Peter Helliar gets roasted about his Logie snub on Have You Been Paying Attention after campaign for gold nomination is unsuccessful

Peter sat in the front row of the celebrity game show’s panel, flashing a grin as he was made fun of in the opening minutes of the episode.

When host Tom began a conversation with Peter, he stated: ‘Pete, another year, another Logie snub.’

‘Fun way to start the show, Tom!’ Peter joked as the audience laughed at his response to the awkward moment.

‘No, no, there was quite a campaign to get you the gold nomination,’ Tom continued.

Interrupting Tom before he could go any further, Peter quipped in good humour: ‘Obviously it didn’t work, did it, Tom?’

However, it wasn’t just Tom who took a swipe at Peter throughout the show, with Sam Pang also joining in.

Answering the question ‘after four years the hunt for what officially ends this week?’, Sam poked fun at Peter’s struggling game show: ‘the right timeslot for Cram?’

'The right timeslot for Cram?' Tom wasn't the only person who took a swipe at Peter during the show, with Sam Pang also joining in to poke fun of the comedian's game show ratings

Peter had originally thought Ten newcomer Lisa Wilkinson would be up for a Gold Logie, but she also missed out on a single nomination this year.

He originally told news.com.au in March: ‘I think it’s got Wilkinson written all over it to be honest… I hope Lisa wins it. I think she deserves it and I was genuinely surprised she wasn’t nominated last year.’

The year’s Gold Logie contenders are Amanda Keller, Andrew Winter, Grant Denyer, Jessica Marais, Rodger Corser and Tracy Grimshaw.

The TV Week Logie Awards will air on Nine on July 1
