The Queen is not impressed by the ‘alleged feud’ between grandsons William and Harry, royal author Ingrid Stewart claims

  • Ingrid Seward, royal editor, said the Queen ‘doesn’t care’  for the alleged feud
  • Also claims that despite the brothers falling out she won’t interfere in their lives
  • It is thought that the alleged feud started earlier this year between them
  • The brothers have also recently separated their royal charity duties this year

A royal editor claims that the Queen is not impressed with Prince William and Harry’s apparent feud and won’t interfere.

Ingrid Seward, editor-in-chief of Majesty Magazine, spoke to Fabulous magazine and claimed that the Queen likes to keep out of any family disputes.

She said: ‘Her Majesty does not care for the alleged feuding amongst her grandchildren William and Harry, that would make her very sad. But she would never interfere with their lives.’

It is thought that the alleged feud between them started earlier this year after much speculation that their wives, the Duchess of Sussex and Cambridge, were on bad terms with each other.

Rumours of a rift between Prince William and Harry were further fuelled when the news of their Royal foundation split came to light this month.

The royal editor added that in order to not get too involved the Queen prefers to spend time with granddaughter Zara Tindall and her husband Mike.

Ingrid said: ‘They are certainly light relief. She can be herself around them.’

Last week it was confirmed that Harry and Meghan will step away from the Royal Foundation, which was set up in 2009 – the final step in the division of the couples’ public duties.

William and Kate will remain with the original charity, which will be renamed the Royal Foundation of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

Over the years, the charity has focused on wildlife conservation and mental health as well as supporting the armed forces and young people.

There is speculation Meghan and Harry could be looking to work overseas possibly in the duchess’ homeland of America, and Africa, a continent Harry is passionate about where his Sentebale charity is based.

The expert went on to question what Kate, 37, and Her Majesty, 93, would have in common apart from their royal duties, and claimed their relationship is much more formal

Meghan, also 37, showed her growing bond with the Queen when they carried out their first official engagements together in Cheshire on June 18 last year, just a month after her wedding.

They seemed to get on famously, with Meghan giggling and whispering into the Queen’s ear while watching a children’s performance at the opening of a bridge across the River Mersey in Widnes.

The royal editor also highlighted that while the Monarch has a close relationship to Prince William and Prince Harry, they don’t see each other frequently.

While she got to know William when he was at school at Eton and adores Harry’s sense of humour, it’s those that she spends most time with that she has closest ties to.

The MailOnline have contacted Buckingham Palace for comment.
