The shocking moment Today host Karl Stefanovic realises Scott Cam’s dog is DEAD – after the taxidermist Block host showed off the stuffed animal during a live interview

Today show hosts Karl Stefanovic and Allison Langdon were left horrified on Friday when The Block’s Scott Cam introduced his dead dog Rosie during a live interview.

The 57-year-old tradie happens to be a keen taxidermist, and has had two of his late pets stuffed, preserved and displayed in his home for posterity.

Karl, 46, and Allison, 41, looked absolutely mortified when they discovered the motionless pooch sitting next to Scott was actually deceased.

At the start of the segment, the co-anchors explained they had asked Scott to bring along Rosie for his interview, and it was implied they thought the dog was still alive.

‘Um, that’s not Rosie is it?’ a confused-looking Allison asked Scott.

The former Backyard Blitz star cheerfully confirmed that the lifeless beast beside him was, in fact, the late Rosie.

‘That’s Rosie… good girl!’ he said while stroking the dead animal. ‘You asked me to bring her in, so I bought her in!’

Realising what was going, Karl chuckled and said: ‘Scotty, you need to explain how that dog is standing there so still!’

The hosts couldn’t stop laughing, prompting Scott to look a little embarrassed.

‘You guys rang me up… and now you’re laughing at me! She looks good though doesn’t she,’ he replied.

Karl tried to continue with the interview, which was about The Block’s season premiere on Sunday, but got distracted.

‘It’s an amazing job… I’m so sorry mate… it’s just a strange thing to see… it’s an incredible job,’ he said.

It comes after Kerri-Anne Kennerley revealed on Studio 10 last week that Scott loves his animals so much, he gets the stuffed when they die.

‘Scotty Cam’s got his dog stuffed,’ she said, casually. ‘He’s done a great job with it and [the dead animals] sit in his bar.’

Scott previously said he got his late dog Lizzie stuffed because he ‘loved her so much he couldn’t let her go’.
