The competitors, who are both barefoot and wearing colourful skirts, circle one another as they line up their shots.

Both women brace arms in front of their chests before picking their moment to attack.

Punches fly in all directions with both opponents copping blows to their heads and torsos.

At the end of the video, the onlookers drive towards the fight before leaving the scene.

The video has made its rounds on social media and many users have pointed out that the brawl occurred in front of the police station.

‘Good old Darwin, funny thing is the cop shop is on the right hand side,’ one person wrote on Facebook.

‘Standard night in Darwin right outside the police station,’ commented another.

One social media user commented on how ‘desensitised’ people have become as they’d rather watch a fight than intervene.

‘We would rather sit there and film it for a laugh rather than have the balls to intervene,’ they wrote on Facebook.

‘We need to remind ourselves that we are all human and if these women were members of our own families or friends of ours we would do everything in our power to stop it.’
