Long-haul flights are hard enough on adults who have years of experience sitting through discomfort, but for children it can be a little more difficult to adjust.
Now, the prayers of frustrated parents and passengers sick and tired of dealing with crying kids in the air may have been answered thanks to a nifty Kmart hack.
The ingenious solution comes in the shape of a $5 fleece pet bed typically bought for dogs but perfect for keeping kids comfortable and happy on planes.

A flight attendant took to a popular mother’s Facebook group to share the hack after spotting a family using one on one of her recent flights, news.com.au reported.
‘I’m a flight attendant and just had a passenger travelling with three little kidlets,’ the flight attendant wrote.
‘She bought three soft dog beds ($5 Kmart) as a comfy pillow.
‘The soft padded bits around the edge softened hard armrests, buckles etc, and also served as a pillow and leg rest.’

She said it was also a great solution after Fly Tot, JetKids BedBox, Fly LegsUp and Plane Pal, all designed to make flights more comfortable for children, were banned by major airlines last year.
Qantas released a statement saying they banned the products as they were potentially dangerous because they could damage seats, block passage ways or access to emergency equipment.
Virgin Airlines eventually lifted their ban on the devices.
