Seven director of network programming Angus Ross told the publication it had ‘cherry-picked from the Fox library a number of iconic shows… that are proven and consistent free-to-air performers’

Mr Ross would did not confirm which other shows have been scooped up by the Network.

But there is speculation that Seven May pick up Modern Family, which was also previously under a Ten contract.

New seasons of The Simpsons were due to hit television screens in November, but were put on hold while negotiations took place.

It is understood Fox was unhappy with the amount Ten offered to pay for its programs.
