Applications are now open for the 2019 season of The Bachelor.

A detailed document outlining twenty specific clauses has been published online, with hopefuls even required to submit to psychological assessments and drug tests if required by the producer.

Interestingly, footage recorded throughout the casting process may be used by producers forever, and it may be broadcast all around the world.

Applicants must also agree that the ‘producer may edit or adapt such footage in any way it sees fit’.

Furthermore, producers may exploit ‘your voice, name, image, likeness, acts or omissions’ for the purpose of producing the program.

However, there’s also strict requirements regarding an applicant’s age and health.

Aspiring female contestants must be between the ages of 23 and 40.

Journalists need not apply, as being employed by or contracted with news organisation is strictly prohibited.

Additionally, hopefuls must have no relationship or association with producers of the program, and be in good physical and mental health.

Applications are open from now until February 3 2019.
