An Australian mum has shared her incredibly simple three-ingredient recipe for jam and fruit puff pastries.

Sharing images to the Aldi Mums Facebook group, Angela made the pastries for her kids as a tasty afternoon snack.

The homemade dessert took no longer than 15 minutes to cook in the oven and looked like bakery-quality goods.

The raspberries were then placed on top and the corners of the square pastry pieces were folded into the centre to create little pockets.

The pastries were placed in a pre-heated oven and cooked until golden brown before being served with a dusting of icing sugar on top.

Angela also made a few pastries for herself but used cream cheese instead of jam.

‘Cream cheese was sweetened slight with icing sugar,’ she wrote, adding: ‘Just doing a test, turned out great.’

Not only did the snacks look delicious but they would be cheap to make, as Angela only used products purchased from Aldi.

After sharing the insight with the 176,000 parents part of the Aldi Mums Facebook group, others dubbed the pastries as ‘delicious’ and a ‘great idea’.

‘This is a fantastic idea!’ one person wrote.

‘Yum I did this today but with ham, cheese and chutney for lunch,’ another said.

A third added: ‘I might try this with custard of some sort!’
