The Voice coach Jessica Mauboy reveals details of her wedding to fiancé Themeli Magripilis

The Voice coach and Aussie singer Jessica Mauboy has shared some details about her upcoming wedding to fiancé Themeli Magripilis. 

Jessica, 32, said on Sunrise this week that while she doesn’t have a date set yet, it’ll be held in her hometown of Darwin and will be a ‘big family fest at the beach’.

Jessica and Themeli, 32, who have been dating since they were 18, got engaged in Greece back in 2019. 

‘Honestly I don’t have an actual set date, I’m just trying to suss out who’s in town – all the family particularly, obviously now everyone wants to travel,’ Jess said. 

‘I’m sure it will be a Darwin big family fest, because all my mob is up that way.’ 

She added: ‘It’ll be probably the sunset and the beach, you know.’

In November last year, Jess was asked about her upcoming nuptials on The Project and said at the time that she had no updates. 

‘I have no updates, when you know you’ll know. I feel like this music is always taking over just when I’m getting my personal life together,’ she said. 

Jessica went on to say she’s ‘very grateful’ for her fiancé Themeli.

‘He’s been so completely patient but he also loves seeing the joy and gets a kick out of me doing what I love to do,’ she said.

‘We live in different worlds. I mean, he’s in construction, I’m in the music business industry. So it’s very, very different worlds, but he absolutely loves it.’

‘He loves his music, and I’m just really grateful to have someone like that in my life who understands what I do,’ she said.

Jessica confirmed her engagement to Themeli, whom she has been dating for more than a decade, in October 2019.

‘The love of my life proposed to me in his family’s home town of Kalymnos, Greece, on the beach at sunset,’ she wrote on Instagram at the time.

‘We are so happy. I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with my best friend. Thank you for all the love. BIG LOVE JM & Themeli.’
