Where in the world could the wedding be? The venues Karl Stefanovic and Jasmine Yarbrough considered for their lavish nuptials before settling on Mexico …after considering the Blue Mountains and Fiji

They’re about to be married at an exclusive Mexican villa surrounded by family and friends and a bar stocked with their favourite party tipple – Bundaberg Rum.

And while it sounds like a dream setting, it turns out that cost was the deciding factor in Karl Stefanovic, 44, and Jasmine Yarbrough’s, 34, choosing Los Cabos as the location to stage their elaborate nuptials.

Speaking to The Daily Telegraph, a source close to the couple revealed that they had initially wanted the wedding to be closer to home before realising Mexico would be a better option.

‘They looked at Wolgan Valley in the Blue Mountains,’ a reportedly source told the publication.

A wedding at the venue they looked at in the mountain region, ‘would cost more than $700,000’ a source tells The Daily Telegraph.

Apparently the couple also looked at Kokomo Island in Fiji and at several properties in Bali before opting to go with the Mexican resort.

The couple ‘had their hearts set on a destination wedding’ a source tells Daily Mail Australia.

The pair wanted to find a venue that could accommodate 200 people and also provide accommodation nearby.

The hope was that, ‘Everyone could be together and have a holiday at the end of the year’ the source reveals.
