He’s undergoing gruelling training as he prepares to swim the English Channel for a new reality series.
And James ‘Arg’ Argent proudly showed off his impressive weight loss as he posed in his swimming trunks alongside Love Island’s Wes Nelson.
Taking to Instagram on Wednesday, the former TOWIE star, 31, revealed he’d ‘never worked so hard’ in his life, whilst Wes, 21, praised his pal by announcing ‘the weight is falling off’.

Arg penned: ‘I’ve never worked this hard or been so committed to anything in my life! @wes.nelson has been so supportive & has motivated me.
‘In 1 month we are swimming across the channel & leading our team to France in aid of @su2cuk #SinkOrSwim @channel4 #failureisnotanoption [sic]’.
Wes shared the same snap with his followers, captioned: ‘Honestly so proud of @real_arg the weight is falling off 4 weeks out from our big swim across the for stand up to cancer! Let’s get it’.
The TV personalities will be joined by a host of fellow celebrities, including Linford Christie, Georgia Kousoulou and Simon Webbe, as they swim the channel for Channel 4 show, Sink Or Swim!

Arg revealed he would be taking part in the series last week as he announced he wants to help raise money for Stand Up 2 Cancer in honour of his grandfather, who died of prostate cancer,
Arg shared a clip of himself in training with his Instagram followers as he added: ‘It’s also a great chance for me to kickstart my healthy lifestyle and weight loss journey!
‘I know most people will think I will fail & not do it but I will prove those doubters wrong just like I did with the Marathon. I won’t let myself or anyone down.
‘I’m working so hard in order to pass the medical & assessment before I even take on this massive challenge x’

Arg recently revealed the fatal warning he has been issued by doctors after his recent weight gain.
Taking to Instagram in April, the former star posed in a boxing ring alongside a duo of trainers while adding the eerie caption: ‘I’ve been warned I’m on “Death Row” because of my weight gain!’
He referenced his changing shape in the caption while vowing to ‘make life changes’ after years of his weight going up and down, with a worrying effect.
Some of James’ nine years in the spotlight have been focused on his weight loss, gain and his personal battles – after struggles with drink and drug addiction.
