And it seems Emma Watkins’ popularity isn’t lost on her Wiggles co-stars, with Blue Wiggle Anthony Field admitting she’s the secret to the band’s continued success.

The pair appeared together on the Today show on Monday, and host Karl Stefanovic asked them why they thought the group was still so popular.

‘My little Harper is transfixed by Emma. Transfixed as soon as she comes on with the big beautiful smile and her dancing,’ Karl said, referring to his own daughter.

‘You have changed the band from originally just the four dudes in skivvies and you have introduced new characters, and it’s as popular as ever. What do you think that secret is?’

Without missing a beat, Anthony replied: ‘Emma.’

‘We’ve never had more awareness in countries around the world than ever. Which is exciting,’ she said.

‘I think the more creative we can be and more flexible is how we are going to survive this period, which is like everyone.’

She added that doing things differently had energised the band, saying: ‘The energy now is like that first year we were together, which was eight years ago.’
