‘My uncle, David Yates, was the director so he tried to get me in a film but I didn’t have the time to commit to it,’ Walcott said via Goal. ‘It takes a lot of time.’

‘He wanted to get me into one of the Quidditch games with the ball and all that stuff. I had no time but it would have been great.

‘My wife Mel was in one. My old man and my brother are in one as well. My mum might have been in it as well.’

Walcott made his Everton debut in the 1-1 home draw against West Brom on Saturday after moving to Goodison Park from Arsenal for £20million.

The winger played the full 90 minutes and provided the assist from Oumar Niasse to score Everton’s equaliser, heading back across goal for the striker to smash home.

The 28-year-old was Arsenal’s longest-serving player but left after barely featuring in the Premier League for Arsene Wenger’s side this campaign.
