- He then used accelerant to set the business on fire, on Christmas Day, 2016
- Police released CCTV footage in the hope that a witness will come forward
CCTV has captured the moment a thief wearing a Santa hat and beard stole from a brothel before setting it on fire.
Police released the footage in the hope of catching the person responsible for the attack on the business in Camperdown, Sydney on December 25, 2016.
The short clip shows a man walking into the rear entrance of the brothel carrying two large plastic drums at 9.40pm.
He allegedly stole a number of items including money, before pouring accelerant and setting fire to the property.

The ‘Bad Santa’ then fled the scene on foot, walking towards Arundel Street, Forest Lodge.
A crime scene was established and an investigation was launched.
Police have released CCTV footage and are seeking public assistance to help identify the man.
The man allegedly stole a number of items while inside including money, when he entered the business at 9.40pm
