Third Wave Cafe launches a GIANT ‘baby-sized’ taco

A Melbourne cafe has launched a super-sized taco packed full of Mexican flavours – and it will feed two guests or, as they say, one ‘extremely hungry’ customer. 

Third Wave Cafe, located by Port Melbourne Beach, is renowned for creating almighty meals and the $49.90 Tacosaurus Colossus is the latest to join the menu.

The enormous taco comes packed with sweet and sour crispy fried chicken, beer battered fries, pulled pork and a tasty cheese sauce. 

The custom-made taco shell also contains a generous amount of guacamole, salsa, sour cream, shredded cheese, spring onion and jalapeños for an extra kick.   

Third Wave Cafe posted their latest special to social media and received thousands of comments from foodies who can’t wait to indulge in the Mexican feast. 

‘Yum! I need to experience this myself, guess I’m going to Melbourne,’ a foodie wrote.

Earlier this year the cafe launched their $110 Colossal Loaded Fries that can feed up to six people and come topped with cheese, meats and special sauces

The serving tray comes packed with a base of sweet potato fries, crisp hash browns, beer battered chips and thick-cut wedges. 

A handful of cheddar cheese slices, Mexican cheese and Mac and Cheese sauce are placed on top followed by bacon bits, pulled pork, smoked lamb shoulder and smoked brisket.

The meats comes smothered in garlic and barbecue sauces, then a slow smoked beef rib is placed on top for diners to enjoy, followed by a sprinkle of green onion to finish.
