Third woman accuses Ed Westwick of sexual assault

A third woman has come forward to accuse Gossip Girl actor Ed Westwick of sexual assault. 

Rachel Eck told Buzzfeed that the actor assaulted her the night before the 2014 Academy Awards. 

She said they were introduced by her ex-boyfriend, Australian film producer Kaine Harling.

At the time Eck was 23 and working as an executive assistant in Hollywood. 

The night of the alleged assault she said she arrived at a villa at the Sunset Marquis hotel in West Hollywood at around 2.30am to meet Harling and Westwick. 

She met them so late, she said, because she was excited at the prospect of getting back together with Harling.  

Westwick asked her to invite along a friend to hang out with the trio, but because it was so late all of her friends were asleep, so she showed up alone. 

Without another person to focus on, Eck told Buzzfeed Westwick ‘turned his sights on me.’ 

Eck, who now works as a creative producer in Hollywood, claims that each time Harling left the room that night Westwick would ‘try to kiss me or kind of push me up against a wall.’

She said she was there for seven hours with the pair, and repeatedly had to push Westwick off and tell him she was dating Harling. But as the night wore on she said he became more aggressive.

‘It got worse and more handsy,’ she claims. 

And when she tried to tell her then-boyfriend about it, she says he just brushed it off.

When she eventually decided to leave, she claims Westwick pulled her aside because he wanted to apologize. 

She followed him into his bedroom to hear him out, but claims he immediately became aggressive and pushed her down onto the bed. 

‘Ed then pulled me onto the bed and aggressively groped me,’ she told Buzzfeed.  

‘I shoved him off as quickly as I could and left. I have never felt so uncomfortable in a situation like that in my entire life.’ 

She said at the time of the assault she didn’t say anything because that kind of thing ‘just seemed to be accepted,’ but has said that after seeing two other women accuse Westwick of assaulting them that same year decided to come forward.  

Three of Eck’s close friends told Buzfeed that Eck told them about the alleged assault before this year. 

Last week Kristina Cohen and Aurelie Wynn claimed they were raped by the actor in 2014.

Westwick strenuously denied the rape allegations on Tuesday morning in a statement on his social media

Cohen was the first to accuse Westwick. She wrote in a Facebook post last week that she went to his house in 2014 with a produce she was dating at the time, Kaine Harling. 

She said that after falling asleep in a bedroom at the house she woke up to find Westwick on top of her, and claims he proceeded to hold her down and rape her. 

LAPD launched an investigation into Cohen’s claim after she filed an official report on November 7. On Friday the BBC announced it will not air Westwick’s new miniseries Ordeal By Innocence.  

Last Wednesday Wynn took to Facebook to write that Westwick raped her at the Glendower Estate in Los Angeles after a party.

‘I said “no” and he pushed me face down and was powerless under his weight,’ Wynn claimed. ‘I was wearing a one piece bathing suit that he ripped. I was in complete shock.’ 

She said at the time she was dating Glee actor Mark Salling, and claims that he blamed her for the assault and dumped her. 

Wynn said her friends also discouraged her from speaking out, telling her she did not want to be ‘that girl’ – but she found the courage to tell her story after seeing Cohen’s account on Monday. 

Westwick denied both claims on Twitter last week, writing: ‘I have never forced myself in any manner, on any woman. I certainly have never committed rape.’

He later wrote: ‘It is disheartening and sad to me that as a result of two unverified and provably untrue social media claims, there are some in this environment who could ever conclude I have had anything to do with such vile and horrific conduct. 

‘I absolutely have not, and I am cooperating with the authorities so that they can clear my name as soon as possible.’
