This is how long sex should really last for – and the age where people are most sexually satisfied

While sexual preferences and interests change significantly from person to person, how long they’d like to be intimate for is something many Australians can agree on.

Research conducted by online sex retailer LoveHoney has revealed the amount of time sex should last for – and the magic number is 30 minutes.

The results showed that 40 per cent of people would prefer their ‘sex session’ lasted half an hour or more but only 24 per cent said this was the case in their relationship.

Thanks to research conducted by LoveHoney, it has been found out the ideal amount of intimacy Australians like to enjoy

The majority of Australians, 47 per cent, said the sex they were having was lasting 15 minutes and for 16 per cent of respondents sex lasts just 10 minutes.

Sex expert Tracey Cox previously said that people shouldn’t panic about how long their sex is lasting.

‘Thirty minutes for some people would be way too short, for others, it might be a long time,’ she said.

‘Aim to connect sexually on a regular basis – that might mean a sexy kiss or some type of foreplay that doesn’t necessarily go further – rather than keep score.’

Research from the same group also revealed at what age people tend to be the most sexually fulfilled.
