This is what 58 looks like: Mother says cellulite-busting shower and investment skincare keeps her youthful

  • Aliza Reger who is founder of Janet Reger, lives in London with her husband
  • 58-year-old maintains her ageless appearance with Botox every nine months
  • She finishes her shower each day with cold water to keep her skin tight

Aliza Reger owns and runs the lingerie brand Janet Reger, which was founded by her mother. She lives in London with her husband Andrew. They have a daughter, Annoushka, 26.

CELLULITE-BUSTING SHOWER

Every day, I finish my shower with two minutes under cold water to get the circulation going and keep the skin tight, plus I body-brush to further boost circulation and exfoliate. I finish with Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Body Lotion (£3.99, boots.com) mixed with Bio Oil to blur blemishes (£9.99) and Garnier Summer Body Light Gradual Tan Moisturiser (£6.49).

ARGAN OIL MANICURE

Usually I get a shellac manicure every two weeks (£35, nailuxury.co.uk). But since lockdown I’ve done my own manicures using OPI Nail Envy Original Nail Strengther, a clear polish (£19.50, lookfantastic.com), and my nails are healthier than ever. I also massage The Body Source Moroccan Argan Oil (£14.99, thebodysource.com) into my cuticles and hands for hydration.

INVESTMENT SKINCARE

I get fillers and a bit of Botox every nine months with Dr Lynette Yong (genetic-health.co.uk). I also invest in quality skincare and use a Clarisonic Mia 2 Facial Cleansing Brush (£125, amazon.co.uk). Then I apply Elizabeth Arden Prevage Face Serum (£170, boots.com) and Intensive Anti-Ageing Moisture Cream (£120) twice a day.

LINGERIE WARDROBE

I own hundreds of bras. One of my favourite brands is Shock Absorber, as they have amazing support if you do a lot of running or high-impact exercise (shockabsorber.co.uk). It’s important to get a regular bra fitting, especially if you’re going through the menopause, losing weight or experiencing any changes in your body shape.

EXERCISE APPOINTMENTS

Pre-Corona, I’d go to my gym four or five times a week (ucsactive.org.uk). The endorphin rush is a big stress-reliever. I love weight training for building strength, bone density and muscle mass in midlife. During lockdown I’ve been running but I miss the social side of the gym.
