‘So easy and best thing is – no deflating a sandy kiddie pool,’ she said.

A group of mothers went on to share the video in hopes of inspiring others to try the potentially life saving trick.

One even said you could simple throw it away after use to avoid having to pack a sandy curtain into your car, but this sparked a fierce debate online.

‘Not sure about the throwing it away part though I’d rather pop it in a bag to take home and hose clean and use again,’ another added.

‘What a waste to chuck it out after only one use. Not a great idea adding to plastic pollution. Surely it can be reused multiple times? Or just make a hole in the sand like normal?’ A concerned citizen queried.

Then use buckets to fill the ‘pool’ with ocean water – and employing other little helpers will give them an exciting job to do.

But that’s not the only household device you can use at the beach.

A fitted sheet can be arrange around your chosen area on the beach and held in place with baskets and umbrellas to create a ‘sand free zone’ for your youngest tots.

Or you could use a laundry bag to bring toys and spades down from the car. It makes things far easier to re-pack when the day is down.
