Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford’s teenage son was left mortified when his dad cracked a sexual innuendo on Thursday’s edition of This Morning.
The presenting duo, who have been together since 1997, were introducing an upcoming cooking segment with Love Island’s Ovie Soko, who was making ‘cheeky toast and spicy eggs’.
The Irish star, 59, said: ‘Coming up next, a bit of cheeky toast with Ovie…’ and couldn’t resist cracking a cringe-worthy dad joke, forgetting that his son Jack, 17, was actually watching the programme from behind-the-scenes.

Eamonn said: ‘I say that to my wife in the morning, “Any chance of some of cheeky toast?” And she says, “No, I’m hungry, I want my breakfast!”‘
The camera crew burst out laughing as did special guest Ovie, and even Ruth couldn’t contain her laughter.
The presenter, also 59, declared, ‘May I remind you that our 17-year-old son is here! He’s mortified!’, just as the cameraman decided to cut to him on a sofa backstage.
The poor teen blushed bright red, putting his head in his hands and shaking it in embarrassment.

Eamonn and Ruth’s husband and wife banter went down well with viewers, who took to Twitter to joke about the incident.
One commented, ‘Oh my gee! Loving @EamonnHolmes and @RuthieeL on @thismorning today!’.
Another posted, ‘Absolutely hilarious with #CheekyToast’, and a third shared, ‘They always make me laugh! #ThisMorning’.
Elsewhere on the programme, Ruth made viewers at home blush with her flirting with Ovie, 28, especially knowing her son was watching on.

One viewer pointed out: ‘Ruth’s remark about Ovie only wearing his hat whilst making food Errr, did she not say her son was sat in the studio!’
Sidling up to him during his cooking segment, she said: ‘What’s cookin’, good lookin’?’
Referring to his eclectic collection of headgear, she later asked the Love Island hunk: ‘Do you ever wear your hat when you’re cooking?’
When he admitted he did, Ruth giggled: ‘[Do you wear] just your hat?’
She then proceeded to steal the plate of eggs Ovie had made up for her husband Eammon, teasing: ‘I never thought I’d be eating Ovie’s eggs!’
