Witness Ashleigh Hort told 7 News there was pandemonium at the fair after the jumping castle flew into the air.

‘People [were] in shock, kids screaming and yeah it was horrible,’ she said.

‘Everyone was chasing after it I guess because there were kids on it, and it was deflating and they had to search through it to find the children.’

Former police officer and Labor candidate Kim Travers was 50m away from the jumping castle when it flew into the air, and she described the scene as ‘very distressing’.

‘The children, fortunately, fell from the bouncy castle safely into the paddock and the services, who were on the scene, rushed over to see if the castle and kids were safe,’ she said.

A St John Ambulance spokesman told Daily Mail Australia two children were taken to hospital while another was treated at the scene.
