Thugs throw bottles and hurl bricks at Perth mother’s home

A mother was pelted with rocks, bricks and a bottle of Passion Pop as she sat outside her home with her daughter in a shocking attack.

Becky Webb said she was smoking a cigarette on her porch in Lockridge, Perth, while her one-year-old daughter Tauriel played a few metres away.

Two men she described as young and Aboriginal approached and asked her for a cigarette and if her partner Paul was home.

She claimed as soon as Paul walked outside the pair suddenly began to hurl abuse at them, screaming and making threats.

The mother-of-three said she quickly took her daughter in her arms and tried to run inside when one to the men threw a bottle of Passion Pop wine at them.

‘It narrowly missed me and my daughter, I used my body too shield her from all the glass shattering around us and luckily we escaped without any injury,’ she said.

‘They were also throwing bricks and big rocks at our house just missing our windows.’

Ms Webb said she called police who attended her home and took a statement. It was not known if anyone was arrested over the incident.

She also snapped a photo of who she claimed were the men as they ran away through a nearby park.

‘Whatever happened to humanity, there is no need for violence, under no circumstances is this behaviour acceptable,’ she said.

‘Things like this shouldn’t go unnoticed or be silenced.’
