Ticketless Roma fans are seen sneaking into the Puskas Arena for their Europa League final defeat by Sevilla, leaving a mob of supporters crammed behind the goal in more dangerous scenes for UEFA

Roma fans were spotted entering the Puskas Arena in Budapest without tickets as they cheated the system ahead of Wednesday’s Europa League final.

Roma fans were seen forcing their way through the turnstiles to gain entry into the stadium – which has a maximum capacity of 67,000.

They conned the system by grouping together and pushing through the barriers after the person at the front had scanned their ticket.

Therefore, two fans entered the stadium every time one ticket was scanned – meaning the maximum capacity for the stadium was most likely breached.

The number of Roma fans squashed together behind the goal could be seen as the TV cameras panned around the stadium during the game.

The Roma fans were hoping they would see Jose Mourinho’s side emerge victorious from their Europa League with Sevilla.

However, Sevilla secured a record-extending seventh Europa League title after beating Roma 4-1 on penalties at the Puskas Arena.

The result saw Mourinho suffer his first loss in a European final – having won all five of his previous encounters.

Paulo Dybala opened the scoring for Roma in the first half, but his strike was cancelled out by Gianluca Mancini’s unfortunate own goal.

The game got extremely heated and more yellow cards were handed out to those on the bench and in the technical area than on the pitch.

After taking umbrage with several of Taylor’s decisions, Mourinho himself was booked – and his ire toward the officiating continued into his post-match interviews.

One particular moment of controversy forced the Roma bench back to their feet, with a potential Fernando handball not given in the latter stages of normal time.

A cross from Nemanja Matic certainly made contact with the midfielder’s arm, as shown in replays, but his hands were adjudged to have been in a natural position.

Mourinho was furious with the decision and ranted after the game, saying: ‘F***ing disgrace man, it’s a f***ing disgrace’.

The Portuguese manager added: ‘Congratulations, you f***ing disgrace’, before trudging off to the team bus.

Nevertheless, Sevilla won the game 4-1 on penalties after Gonzalo Montiel scored the deciding spot-kick at the Puskas Arena in Budapest.
