TikTok user is SLAMMED for ‘misogynistic’ dating advice in viral video

A TikTok user is facing fierce backlash for his misogynistic dating advice after he urged men to ‘immediately punish’ women’s ‘undesirable behavior.’

Myron Gaines, a life and fitness coach from Miami, Florida, has been branded ‘misogynistic’ and ’emotionally abusive’ after one of his videos went viral, prompting TikTok to disable his @freshnfit account for violating community guidelines.

In the controversial clip, Gaines advised men on what they should do when a woman wants to reschedule a date, insisting it is ‘bad behavior’ that shouldn’t be rewarded.

‘You simply respond, “Hey, that’s cool, but I’m not really a fan of flakey girls. If we go out, you’re going to pay for drinks or dinner or whatever plans you guys had,”‘ he said.

‘With women, when they give you undesirable behavior, you need to punish it immediately, so she knows it’s not acceptable,’ he added. ‘Because if you take her back and take her on a date after she did some BS like that, she’s gonna think it’s OK.

‘Don’t reinforce bad behavior with positive treatment.’

Before his TikTok account was disabled, Gaines had 54,000 followers on the platform, according to the Daily Dot.

In his other videos, he shared advice on ‘how to date multiple girls at the same time’ and explained ‘why men MUST pay on the first date’ as well as ‘why men and women can’t be friends.’

Gaines didn’t have TikTok’s duet feature enabled on his videos, which would allow viewers to post their reaction clips next to his, but didn’t stop from slamming him on the platform.

‘It’s honestly the most disgusting thing I’ve seen in a while and it’s scary, legitimately scary the way that they are talking and the amount of likes they are getting,’ he said. ‘They are literally spewing such vile sentiments that women are to be trained — trained. Like I’m using the verbiage that they use.’

TikTok user @crybabyscorpio explained in her reaction video that she is usually against ‘sending people hate,’ but she had no problem siccing her 32,8000 followers on Gaines after coming across his account.

‘This account? No. I will bully them into the ground,’ she said. ‘Like I will, and I will actually encourage my followers to go bully them also. Just go look at this account. Please, just go look at it.’

Gaines’ advice on how men should react to a woman rescheduling a date eventually made its way to Twitter, where a user named Sydney posted the clip, writing: ‘Uhhhhh.’

The video has been watched more than 2.7 million times, leaving many shocked by his ‘sexist’ and ‘incorrect’ views.

‘I GUARANTEE he got this information from a dog training video,’ one woman wrote, while another tweeted: ‘He took women are b*****s a little too literal huh.’

‘Are his dates allowed on the furniture? Does he bring a treat bag and a tennis ball to dates so he can give positive reinforcement for good behavior?’ someone else asked.

Some insisted Gaines was actually talking about setting boundaries, but he went about it in a problematic way.

‘It’s actually called setting a boundary, although he made it sound much worse and didn’t do it correctly, buttttt you do teach people how to treat you based on how you allow them to,’ one person noted. ‘He shouldn’t [have] said it was punishment just setting a boundary.’

‘His wording and approach are a bit f**ked, and I get that,’ someone else commented. ‘But also, “don’t reinforce bad behavior with positive treatment” is exactly what setting boundaries is.’

However, other disagreed, with one Twitter user hitting back: ‘A woman rescheduling a date is not “bad behavior” nor does it deserve to be punished.

‘If you’re that insecure & angry over someone rescheduling then you need help. There is no need to punish & manipulate someone for being busy or having an emergency.’
