Today host Karl Stefanovic teases Allison Langdon is ‘pregnant’ live on air: ‘It’s baby number three!’

They’re known for their on-screen banter on the Today show.

But Karl Stefanovic may have taken things a little too far on Wednesday when he joked that his co-host Allison Langdon was expecting ‘baby number three’.

Allison, 42, had been reading an intro on the teleprompter about life being ‘pretty hectic’ for new mothers when ‘baby number two arrives’.

Without warning, Karl interrupted: ‘Ally’s expecting… a boy!’

‘It’s number three!’ she giggled, placing a hand on her stomach.

‘Yay! No one knew. Round of applause for Ally!’ Karl laughed, to which Allison responded: ‘It’s a big moment, right?’

‘Another immaculate conception!’ the 47-year-old chuckled.

The co-anchors then continued their news report on family well-being. 

Allison shares son Mack, five, and daughter Scout, two, with her husband Michael Willesee Jr.

Michael used to be a journalist and TV producer but is now an executive at Westpac.

Allison recalled how she first met her now-husband during an interview with Show+Tell in 2017.

The former 60 Minutes reporter said she was struck by an ‘overwhelming physical attraction’ to him after meeting at a bar in 2006.

The pair tied the knot in a stunning ceremony in Noosa in 2008.
