Today show’s Georgie Gardner, 48, has two skin cancers removed

Georgie Gardner, 48, has had skin cancer removed.

The Today show co-host posted a candid snap to Instagram on Thursday after having two cancers removed, but told fans ‘they’re NOT melanomas.’

‘Feeling a little flat after 2 more skin cancers removed, BUT counting my blessings they’re NOT melanomas,’ she captioned.

The mother-of-two was flooded with well wishes from fans, with many wishing her a speedy recovery.

It is unclear if the Channel Nine journalist underwent any surgery.

This is not the first time that she has had skin cancer.

Last year, she shared an Instagram photo of her bandaged back after having cancer removed.

Georgie follows the likes of other celebrities, including Hugh Jackman and Julia Morris who have used their personal experiences to raise cancer awareness.

In 2016, Wolverine actor Hugh, 49, shared a snap of his bandaged nose.

‘An example of what happens when you don’t wear sunscreen. Basal Cell. The mildest form of cancer but serious, nonetheless. PLEASE USE SUNSCREEN and get regular check-ups,’ he wrote.

That same year, I’m A Celebrity host Julia, 50, shared a photo of her skin cancer scar on her shoulder.

‘Gang, seriously… Can you please look after your skin in the sun with proper sunscreen. You are too awesome not to. jx,’ she captioned.
