The 51-year-old was clad in workout gear and appeared deep in thought as he was spotted walking along a footpath en route to his nearby car.
Word of his split with wife of eight years Rosie first broke on Saturday, soon followed by revelations he’d allegedly become ‘involved in an altercation’ with her new lover.
Today show weatherman Steve Jacobs looks downcast as he’s spotted out for the first time since allegedly being ‘involved in an altercation’ with his estranged wife’s new Canadian commando lover
On Friday, Steve wore a blue bomber jacket over a white T-shirt and a pair of training shorts.
He held his phone and wallet in one hand and his car keys in another, clearly cautious of remaining in plain sight for longer than necessary.
Steve furrowed his brow in concentration, before ducking his head and attempting to shield his face when approaching his vehicle.

The embattled weatherman quickly opened the driver’s side door and took off.
Steve is at the centre of a string of events that have come to light in the wake of a failed ‘last-ditch’ effort to save his marriage.
In 2016, in an attempt to rekindle his troubled marriage, the journalist moved to Vanuatu with Rosie, 39, and their two children Isabella, six, and Francesca, three.
But it didn’t pan out and on February 24 this year Steve was reportedly involved in an ‘altercation’ at a Vanuatu gym with Rosie’s new Canadian ex-commando lover Dylan Nash.

The alleged incident is said to have happened at the Ultimate Fitness gym in Port Vila in front of multiple witnesses.
One eyewitness claimed Rosie’s lover Dylan was working out at the gym with a mate when Steve arrived and an altercation ensued.
‘The gym was pretty busy and Dylan was standing there talking to someone when all of a sudden Stevie came up to him,’ the witness claimed to Daily Mail Australia.
He held his phone and wallet in one hand and his car keys in another as he made his way along the footpath
Feeling self conscious? Steve could seen ducking his head as he made his way to his car
‘Dylan’s well over six-foot and Stevie’s obviously much smaller, but he went up to him and shouted something about moving in on his wife,’ the witness claimed.
‘I think Dylan just replied saying he’d lost his wife long before he came on the scene.’
An Ultimate Fitness employee confirmed the alleged incident occurred at the gym but would not be drawn on further details.

Police are reportedly aware of the alleged altercation, but no official complaint was filed by either party.
Neither Steve or Mr Nash responded to requests for comment in recent days.

The downfall of the TV couple’s eight-year marriage was revealed on the weekend, a number of months after they officially called it quits in late-2017.
Rosie and Steve’s move to the Pacific Island nation came in a bid to increase the time spent with their two young daughters.
At the time, he tearfully revealed during an interview on Today that the move was what he and his family needed.
‘For the past 12 years, I haven’t been able to wake up once with my wife, haven’t been able to get the kids to daycare,’ Steve said.
The pair met on Today in 2007, where Steve was a star weatherman and Rosie one of the breakfast show’s producers.
In 2010, after Steve finalised his divorce to wife of two decades Alison, he and Rosie tied the knot in Bali.
The couple’s family home in Coogee, located in Sydney’s eastern suburbs, was recently put up for sale.
A source told Daily Mail Australia that Rosie (pictured) 39, began dating Mr Nash in the months after she split from Steve, 51

It is set to fetch north of $4million when it goes under the hammer.
The couple purchased the four-bedroom home in 2011 for $2.55million and had been renting it out since moving to Vanuatu.
Ballard Property Group Double Bay has listed the property for auction on April 7.
