Tom Brady acquires partial ownership in WNBA team Las Vegas Aces as NFL legend extends his portfolio now he’s retired – admitting his sisters ‘were by far the best athletes in his house!’
Tom Brady has acquired an ownership stake in the WNBA’s Las Vegas Aces franchise.
The news was announced Thursday night in a press release by Raiders owner, Mark Davis.
He also owns the city’s WNBA franchise and has sold some of his equity – it is presently unclear how much – to Brady.
The recently retired seven-time Super Bowl champion was spotted at an Aces game last offseason.
‘I am very excited to be part of the Las Vegas Aces organization,’ Brady said in the statement.

‘I have always been a huge fan of women’s sports, and I admire the work that the Aces’ players, staff, and the WNBA continue to do to grow the sport and empower future generations of athletes.
‘To be able to contribute in any way to that mission as a member of the Aces organization is an incredible honor.’
Davis celebrated the moment, expressing Brady’s presence is bigger than just his franchise. The longtime Raiders owner purchased the WNBA franchise in January 2021 from MGM Resorts.
‘Since I purchased the Aces, our goal has been to win on and off the court,’ Davis said.
‘Tom Brady is a win not only for the Aces, and the WNBA, but for women’s professional sports as a whole.’
The deal has not yet been ratified and is currently subject to approval from the WNBA.
Brady also shared the news on his social media platforms, once more expressing the role of his sisters had in his passion for women’s sports.

For context, the league’s approval of Davis’ purchase came 29 days after he agreed to the deal.
Brady seems to be making the most of his off-time following his second – and final – retirement from football, continuing his Lets Go! Podcast with Jim Gray, while working on other ventures, including Autograph – an NFT platform which has a series of unique collections and experiences on offer – and his clothing line, Brady Brand.
In February, Brady hilariously posted a ‘thirst trap’ photo while honoring a tweet to recreate poses from Brady Brand’s modeling campaign.
