Tom Brady ‘IS expected to retire after the 2022 NFL season’ with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers amid rumors wife Gisele Bundchen was ‘not happy’ at his U-turn on retiring earlier this year

  • Tom Brady is gearing up for Tampa Bay’s season-opener vs Dallas Cowboys
  • The 45-year-old dramatically unretired from his stellar career earlier this year
  • But his wife, Gisele Bundchen, is reportedly unhappy with her husband’s move

This could be Tom Brady’s final Week 1 match despite unretiring to take part in the 2022 NFL season.

Brady returned to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers just 40 days after announcing his retirement .

Initially, the seven-time Super Bowl champion announced his retirement following 22 seasons in the league on February 1.

Tom Brady will be hoping to get his eighth Super Bowl ring in what could be his final season

By late March, Brady was back and is ready to roll into season 23 which begins at Dallas on Sunday Night Football.

Even before his season has started, NFL insider Ian Rapoport revealed those close to Brady think there is a finality about 2022.

‘He has never said it publicly, but multiple parties involved acknowledge that after last year’s retirement then unretirement, the end is coming,’ Rapoport said.

‘That is the understanding, that this is the final year.’

The former Patriot will be without his longtime tight end Rob Gronkowski who also announced his retirement in the offseason and has thus far shown no signs of a comeback.

Brady and the Bucs are a little weaker than the team which lost to the Los Angeles Rams in the Divisional round of the NFC Playoffs last season.

Tampa’s returning QB led the league in passing yards in a season in which he was unfortunate not to win MVP.

Statistically and performance speaking, Brady was right to return to the gridiron but it seems not everyone is enamored with his decision, NFC opponents aside.
