Tom Brady storms out of press conference after reporter asked about Julian Edelman scandal

Tom Brady walked out of a press conference on Saturday after being asked about the link between his personal trainer and wide receiver Julian Edelman, who has been slapped with a four-game suspension for using performance enhancing drugs.

A reporter asked the New England Patriots star, 40, whether he thought it was fair that his trainer Alex Guerrero has been speculated as having something to do with the scandal because Edelman is one of the trainer’s clients.

‘I have no comment. It is just ridiculous,’ Brady responded, shaking his head out of irritation.

‘I’m out. See you guys,’ he said as he picked up his helmet and walked to the team’s locker room, bringing the presser to an abrupt end.

He wrote: ‘I don’t know what happened’ and that he has taken ‘many, many tests obviously over the course of my career, and nothing like this has ever happened’.

At the start of training camp Saturday Edelman addressed the media himself for the first time since appealing the suspension and claimed full responsibility for the punishment.

‘It’s disappointing with the penalty and the findings. I’m definitely accountable for that,’ he said.

‘But ultimately my focus is going out and trying to work my knee, get better each day. It was tough last year. Watching your team go out and play great football without you.’

Edelman had missed part of the 2017-2018 season because of a knee injury and worked with Guerrero worked during his rehabilitation process.
