Tom Gleeson reveals the most bizarre celebrity he’s ever interviewed on Hard Chat  

Tom Gleeson has roasted some of Australia’s biggest stars as part of his tongue-in-cheek interview program Hard Chat.

And while the ABC comedian is known for maintaining his composure on screen, there was one particular celebrity that caught him completely off guard.

Appearing on Studio 10 on Tuesday, the funnyman revealed the identity of his most bizarre interview subject. 

‘It was just on another planet!’ Tom Gleeson revealed the most bizarre celebrity he’s ever interviewed on Hard Chat during an interview with Studio 10 this Tuesday 

The baffling guest was none other than SBS World News presenter Lee Lin Chin, who he interviewed back in 2015.

‘I think that chat went for 45 minutes, it just kept going and going and going,’ he recalled. ‘And I reckon half an hour of it was not usable, it was just on another planet.

‘By the end of it, I feel like she had rearranged my whole psychology. And then we had to somehow assemble it into something entertaining.’ 

Tom went on to explain that he was surprised when the colourful media personality brought along a prop to the interview.

‘She was drinking a beer and all this stuff!’  He went on to explain that he was surprised when the theatrical media personality brought several unusual props to the interview

‘She was drinking a beer and all this stuff, and was constantly calling me “Mr Gleeson”. And I was like, “I don’t know what’s going on anymore!”‘

During her appearance on Hard Chat, Lee Lin had viewers in stitches thanks to her hilarious and bizarre one-liners.

She also raised eyebrows with her quirky outfit, which included a pair of green checked trousers, white braces and round-framed sunglasses.

The Jakarta-born journalist remained tight-lipped on the reason behind her exit, but did release a public statement explaining that there were ‘many small to medium-sized reasons’ for her sudden departure.

She has also fueled speculation that she may move to Channel Ten, telling Ten Daily she’d be ‘very happy to read the news (at the network) on a casual basis’.
