Lieu is a former California state senator and as a critic of President Trump is often tweeting about his ‘stupid’ policies.

Fricke will run as an independent in the 2020 election.

‘While our problems get worse by the day, our current representative is busy writing his next tweet,’ Fricke notes in a video showing Lieu’s Twitter feed and his congressman’s responses to Trump’s own tweets.

Lahren also tweeted at Lieu that “it’s time someone challenged you and put California’s 33rd district ahead of TV time and mean tweeting the president.”

Fricke, who became engaged to Lahren in June, spoke out against the district’s struggle with homelessness and drugs.

‘The sight of tents, trash, feces and needles littering our public spaces has become ordinary,’ he said.

‘We must not only show compassion for the disadvantaged, but for the hard-working constituents who abide by the laws and are just trying to live their lives in the district that we all fell in love with.’

Lieu, an Air Force veteran, is in his third congressional term, where he serves on the House Judiciary Committee and the House Foreign Affairs Committee.

The 33rd District includes the posh towns of Bel Air, Beverly Hills, Brentwood, Santa Monica and Calabasas.
