Too Hot To Handle EXCLUSIVE: Larissa Trownson admits she left show after failing to connect with former stripper Nathan because she felt she had ‘nothing else to learn’
Too Hot To Handle star Larissa Trownson admitted she left the retreat after failing to connect with former stripper Nathan because she felt she had ‘nothing else to learn’.
The Kiwi lawyer, 28, spoke about her reasoning for her departure before the Netflix show ended in an exclusive interview with MailOnline, saying she was keen to ‘end on a high’.
Looking back on the moment, Larissa admitted she was happy to go out on her own terms as she explained: ‘Yea, definitely.
Decision: Too Hot To Handle’s Larissa Trownson admitted to MailOnline she left the show after failing to connect with former stripper Nathan because she felt she had ‘nothing else to learn’
‘I kind of had a moment of reflection and with Nathan falling apart I kind of realised that I learned a lot about myself and what I want, what I’m feeling with someone and my emotions and what I need.
‘So, I felt like I learned a lot and my journey had ended, there was nothing else I was going to learn at that point.
‘I had such a great time I wanted to end on a high, so I’m quite happy with my decision.’
Larissa went on: ‘It wasn’t from a place of sadness or bitterness like “oh we didn’t work out I’m going to leave”, it was more like we didn’t work out it’s time to go but I’ve learned from it, so it was actually good.’

Too Hot To Handle sees sexy singles have to avoid sexual contact with each other for four weeks in order to win a $100,000 prize.
Contestants are informed when they arrive that there will be ‘no kissing, no heavy petting and no sex’ during their time on the show so they can form more ’emotional’ connections instead.
And Larissa previously spoke about her experience on the show with MailOnline, saying: ‘I’ve learned a lot and I realised how much I’m applying it back home.

‘I realised I shut myself off to guys and it’s like I have a fear of abandonment, which was a real home truth.
‘You think you’re going on this show to party but at the end of it it’s like therapy. I think it’s awesome, it helped me out a lot.’
In an interview with Daily Mail Australia earlier this month, Larissa admitted to getting a breast enlargement, regular Botox injections and lip filler.
Larissa said she’s unashamed to speak about her cosmetic enhancements and wants to be ‘transparent’ to help other women.
She admitted: ‘I think it’s really important that we’re transparent about work we’ve had done, otherwise that helps portray unreal beauty standards especially for younger women.
‘So I’ve always been upfront about it and I chose to have it, so I’m proud of it.
Looking back: Larissa added: ‘I realised I shut myself off to guys and it’s like I have a fear of abandonment… you think you’re going on this show to party but at the end of it it’s like therapy’
‘But I totally understand why some people want to keep it to themselves. But I’m all about breaking stereotypes.’
After admitting on the Netflix show she got a boob job after university, Larissa said she’s ‘happy’ with the way she looks and isn’t planning to get anything else done.
‘I’m happy the way I am. I get Botox regularly. I’ve just got Botox and lips and I’m happy with that,’ she said.
Too Hot To Handle season two is now available to watch in full on Netflix.
