Top Bundoora real estate agent Joshua Allison is jailed for four years for shocking act against women in their homes
A real estate agent has been jailed for almost five years for secretly filming young women, despite his lawyers saying he was less culpable due to having a ‘voyeuristic disorder’.
Joshua Allison, 42, promised his clients at Ray White in the north-east Melbourne suburb of Bundoora that he used ‘the latest technology that’s available’ in marketing homes.
But unknown to clients, the agent from Port Melbourne used some of that technology to covertly film and spy on young women through their bedroom windows.
One of Allison’s victims only found out about it years later, when police called her.
‘My innocence was stripped away from me. I just can’t fathom how someone could get enjoyment from doing that to young people,’ said one victim, Marie, to 9News.

After eventually finding out about Allison’s activities, she worked out what lay behind an earlier disturbing incident.
‘I finished having my shower and then I saw an arm pull from the window, and completely freaked out.
‘He was doing it from the neighbour’s side of the house and we assume he’s jumped the fence,’ she said.
Over a 10-year period, Allison preyed on 11 young women, including his housemate, who he targeted by installing a hidden camera in the bathroom wall.
Allison’s covert activities finally stopped in January 2021 when the manager of a Coles supermarket caught him filming up the skirts of two little girls.
When police later searched his nearby home they found a hard drive he labelled The Collection.
Allison’s lawyers argued in court that his moral culpability was reduced due to his mental impairment – he had been diagnosed with a voyeuristic disorder.

But the judge rejected this and sentenced the father of one to four years and 10 months in jail.
Allison will also be registered as a sex offender for life.
Marie is now trying to get on with the rest of her life. ‘I just hope that I can live a happy life and learn to trust men and build those relationships,’ she said.
