Tori Spelling looks trim in a leather minidress to promote Love At First Lie

Tori Spelling stunned in a tan leather button-up dress, fishnet tights and burgundy platform heels when seen in New York City on Thursday.

The Beverly Hills, 90210 actress was heading into Good Morning America where the 49-year-old reality TV diva was promoting her new mystery competition series Love At First Lie on MTV.

‘There are real couples in real relationships and there are liars who have come together to present to be couples. They live in a house, 12 couples, and have to live together to find out who the liars are,’ she told GMA.

She said she went in as a host and did not know who was lying and who wasn’t. And she was surprised by the results.

According to the network’s official logline, the reality show will put a selection of couples through ‘power games’ that will ‘test their relationships and give insight into who could be telling the truth or lying through their teeth.’

A special element of the show is the legitimacy of the supposed couples as Tori explained on Good Morning America that ‘there’s real couples in real relationships and then there’s the liars who have come together to pretend to be couples.’

That ultimate cash prize is compounded by $25,000 every time they guess correctly and kick out the liars. Only one couple can win and take home the pot and Tori will be be present every step of the way over the show’s 12 episode run. 

Love at First Lie marks a return to reality television for the Tori and Dean star. 

The daughter of Aaron Spelling – a legendary producer who created Love Boat and Charlie’s Angels – Tori has previously starred in a succession of reality shows with her husband Dean McDermott, 55.

The couple, who were married in 2006 and share five children together, have been in the news lately for having a rocky time. But they have so far been able to stay together for the sake of their daughters Stella, 13, and Hattie, 10, and sons Liam, 14, Finn, nine, and Beau, four.

Looking fantastic as 50 is right around the corner, Tori recently told E! News that her eldest daughter Stella was behind her motivation to get a breast enlargement. ‘Mom, I’m concerned,’ the star’s daughter told her. ‘You have put this off. You told me for years now that you need to get your boobs redone!”

The Stori Telling author has been candid in the past about her body image issues and dealing with cyberbullying. After rising to fame as a teen playing Donna Martin on Beverly Hills, 90210, the actress was subjected to intense criticism over her looks, with particular attention directed at her pronounced eyes.

Opening up on Instagram in 2020, Tori wrote that her father used to tell her that ‘your eyes are the windows to your soul…’ She went on to share with her fans that she ‘used to hate’ her eyes and that internet trolls called her a ‘frog’ and ‘bug-eyed.’

The Sharknado star has overcome the bullying of her past to instill strength in her two daughters.

 In her interview with E! News, she said: ‘I tell my girls since they were born how beautiful they are, not just physically but inside. I tell them all the time.’ With her new show about to premiere on October 12, the radiant Spelling seems to be poised for another promising chapter in her long life under the harsh Hollywood spotlight.
