The France goalkeeper’s future has been under massive uncertainty in recent week with his current deal due to expire at the end of the season.

But Spurs’ captain has penned a new contract which will keep him at the club until 2024.

The news will arrive as a huge boost to Antonio Conte, who has repeated on numerous occasions his desire to keep Lloris beyond the summer.

Lloris was expected to return to France this summer, with Tottenham known to have been on the look out for a new No 1 ahead of next season.

But the arrival of Conte has played a key role in convincing the 35-year-old to re-commit to the club for at least another two seasons.

Having joined from Lyon in 2012, Lloris is already in his 10th season at the north London club.
