This is the shocking moment a tourist bus is tossed around like a toy after being swept away by flood waters leaving several people stranded. 

Footage captured the empty bus being washed away by raging waters of Beas River, Himachal Pradesh in northern India following heavy rain and flash flooding.

Suddenly the water sweeps the entire bus away from solid ground and carries along the river at speed.

The vehicle can be seen being engulfed by the thick brown water as it is swept downstream.

Shouting can be heard as loud the bus is hurtled away and disappears from view in the rapids.

The bus was parked at the Potato ground which is sometimes used as a market.

Locals had reportedly warned the tourist bus staff about the dangers of the sudden flash flood. 

Torrential rains and flash flood caused the ground to erode by fast flowing water causing danger for locals. 

The monsoon season has caused landslides in the region which have blocked roads and many people to have been stranded.
