TOWIE’s Gemma Collins wants a role on EastEnders

She addressed her adoring fans on Christmas Day in an uplifting speech in which she expressed her hopes to end nasty trolling in 2018.

Despite many enjoying the festivities, Gemma Collins was eyeing up a new career on Monday as she tweeted her upset about the latest characters to come to a dramatic end on EastEnders.

The 36-year-old TOWIE star took to the micro-blogging site to call on the soap director to call her for a role on the long-running BBC after Max Branning’s daughters Abi (played by Lorna Fitzgerald) and Lauren (Played by Jacqueline Jossa) fell off the roof of The Queen Vic.

Left aghast following the shock turn of events, Gemma couldn’t help but vocalised her shock over her favourite characters’ death while referencing sisters Roxie and Ronnie Mitchell drowning on New Years Day.

Distraught over the storyline, Gemma wrote: ‘Why are they killing of all the best characters in EastEnders last year Rox and Ronnie? Can the director give me a call’.

Viewers watched the sisters plummet to their deaths on Christmas day as they tried to coax their father Max off the roof of the pub as he contemplated ending his life.

The harrowing deaths was similar to that of their brothers Bradley in 2010, who accidentally fell off the roof of The Queen Vic as he tried to flee Albert Square and the police following his wife Stacey’s admission to killing Archie Mitchell.

She shared: ‘Another thing that I am really passionate about bullying, trolling, saying awful things about people on social media.

‘This has to stop. Please stop criticising people’s personal appearances. I never said I was as slim as Kate Moss and I never said I was as beautiful as a supermodel but I am one of the most iconic women in Britain today.

Adding: ‘But you people that are actually writing this disgusting awful, rotten, dark energy – it actually says more about you. I want us all to get together this year. I believe in the power of thought.’

It comes after she suffered an epic fall on stage at the BBC’s Radio 1 Teen Award in October earlier this year.

In October, she panicked the 12,000-strong crowd at the BBC’s Radio 1 Teen Awards when she fell feet-first through a trapdoor onstage.

Not realising that the stage beside her had dropped down, Gemma began to dance and twirl around to Ariana Grande’s Into You when she accidentally fell on top of ITV2 stars Jamie Jewitt, Amber Davies and Marcel Somerville

Proving that chivalry isn’t dead, Jamie and Marcel quickly turned towards Gemma to help her get back to her feet as the stage continued to raise up while Amber greeted the SSE Arena, demonstrating that the show must go on.

Honest: She added: 'This has to stop. Please stop criticising people's personal appearances. I never said I was as slim as Kate Moss and I never said I was as beautiful as a supermodel but I am one of the most iconic women in Britain today'

Putting on a brave face, the ITV darling reassured the 12,500 concert goers that she was OK following the nasty tumble.

She called out to packed out crowd: ‘Oh my God. Guys sorry about that. This is live, this is what happens.’

However, Gemma did acknowledge how lucky she had been as her injuries could have been much more severe when she appeared on This Morning after the incident.

‘It could have been fatal,’ she revealed. ‘Under there there’s so much machinery going on.’
